Call on Me

What a promise!
‘He will call on me and I will answer him...I will deliver...honour...give life... (my paraphrase!)’
Like this verse says- the only bit that I’m responsible for is to call on Him. That is my posture of casting my cares on him. Knowing he has good stored up for me. Knowing he knows more than I do. Knowing the outcome is up to God.
Maybe that seems lazy to you.
Maybe that seems like God is a genie to you.
Maybe that seems a little out of control for you.
I’ve been thinking about how we often are the saviours in our own lives or our own minds. Like every outcome, everything is dependent on me.
Such a heavy burden I was never intended to carry! When in fact, what God asks of me is to come to him. To pray. To be others focused. To be kind. It’s always the simple thing that’s our responsibility. And its His grace that fulfils the remaining things.
What a great reminder and how we can trust in a God who cares more than we know!
