The Dreaded Whoop

Okay, so it's been way too long. I keep going to write here and explain the absence, but it just has been feeling so big, busy and overwhelming to write everything that's been going on on the home front, so tonight it's the short version...

Our kids caught whooping cough back at the beginning of last term. I know. Awful. Thankfully they aren't infants so not in the risk group, but still. The coughing! Oh the coughing. It has been a long few months of high dose Vitamin C, vaporisers, & supplements to boost their immune systems and get everyone back to sleeping through the night and no longer stressed out (that was me!! : ) Even when they were better during the day, it was the nights that were so draining. I felt like I was back in that newborn stage again!

And then because I said yes to an amazing opportunity that crossed my path at the beginning of the year; I opened a gift store with one of my sisters. Gah!!! Such a dream come true! I love it, but of course with the fun is a lot of new and unknowns. We had the opening during that season of no sleep, so it was all a big mushy pile of busy. 

Anything that wasn't urgent kind of took a back seat. I was in survival mode. So I was filling orders here at Honey & Gold (a bit slower than usual mind you), but there was not much on the blog or e-newsletter front. 

BUT....it's a new day!!

Our kids are back on the health train and life seems to be evening itself out a bit more. I'm dreaming and creating again for Honey & Gold. My heart is so in this space and I want to share more and encourage you in your journey with God. To pursue him and encourage your children to do the same. I have some new products in the pipeline that I pray will help with that. I'm excited to share them with you over the coming weeks!
